Hi! I’m Joanna Wheeldin.

I love visual art, writing and community organizing.

I started this business in 2024 because I wanted to make beautiful art accessible and affordable. As a kid, I loved decorating my room with posters. I’m a vibrant soul who wants to share my stories alongside my colorful and stylistic visual work.

During my undergraduate studies at Sonoma State University, I strengthened my voice in printmaking, sculpture, and creative writing. I’m excited to take these skills into my next endeavors as an artist.

This site is both a shop and an evolving archive of my creations. Here you can find original prints and posters, check out my writing and follow my work as an activist in the community.

Welcome to my digital space that evolves as I do.

My Media

In this video, I read “Language Clothes Me: An Essay on Freedom” at Sonoma State University’s Social Action Student Symposium in 2026.

I create events as part of ImprovScience’s Freedom Festival as a community organizer. This 2025 roundtable discussion about the philosophy of freedom inspired the dialogue in my piece Oralephemora.

Read my takes on the future of art and A.I. in the student-run newspaper of Sonoma State University here.

I dance as the Dama Elegante in the Fleevs music video Dama Dreamhouse. For more music videos, check out Falling Star and NALGAS 43” by the incredible visionary Fleevs.

I talk about what makes Sonoma State’s art department special in this promotional video.

In addition to building community through event creation and art, I’m the author of the newsletter! Sign up for the Freedom Festival newsletter here.

Listen to or read my interview about my theatrical fiction Oralephemora on Substack here. “Midnight Melody” and “M/F/Abstraction” are also featured in the 30th issue of Sonoma State’s literary magazine Zaum.

I read my theatrical fiction Oralephemora at the African American Writers of Sonoma County Event “Take Me To The Water.” Check out the coverage in the Community Voice and the Press Democrat too. I write about the event here on Sonoma State’s spotlight page.
